Patio, Raised Planting Beds & Pergola, Adel

Our client brief for this patio installation was to create a more usable garden space, that provided privacy and some vegetation, whilst remaining fairly low maintenance.  The existing garden represented some challenges due to poor drainage and the slope of the existing lawn.

Working closely with the client, we came up with a design that split the garden into two patio areas, connected by a pathway and gravel area.  Red brick walls were built to create raised beds, which once planted would offer screening to the main seating area.  Additional privacy was provided through a bespoke timber pergola, which was clad with screening slats.

The patio areas were created using Natural Stone’s Premiastone Cornsilk sandstone, with their Fossestone York Mix sandstone block pavers incorporated as a border and pathway.  Matching Cornsilk bullnose units were installed as steps and coping stones to the red brick walls.
