An outdoor garden area at a residential care home in Ilkley. Our customer tasked us with creating a safe and accessible garden area, in which their residents could relax in privacy and undertake some gardening.

Working closely with the home’s management team, we agreed upon a design that incorporated 8 raised planting beds formed from tanalised timber sleepers. The beds were installed at a suitable height to allow wheelchair users to get involved with planting flowers and vegetables, with 85m² of Indian Sandstone pathways providing easy access.

In addition, we installed 32m of featheredge fencing to the perimeter of the garden, including matching gates, to provide security and privacy to the area.
