Circle Design Patio, Pool-in-Wharfedale

This beautiful circle design patio in Pool-in-Wharfedale was one of our more challenging projects on account of the poor access at the property making depositing the required materials in the rear garden quite difficult. Due to the lack of side access to the rear garden, we were faced with carrying all of the materials through the house unless we were able to come up with a more creative solution. We decided to do everything over the back garden wall, including the removal of the earth from the dig out and depositing the materials.

Following the dig out, we stock piled all of the material to be removed close to the wall and used our grab wagon to collect. The materials for the patio were then dropped over the wall using the same method.

We created a 35m² patio area using Natural Paving’s Classicstone Harvest Sandstone in Project Packs, with a three ring circle kit in matching Harvest. The edging to the patio and circle was completed using Natural Paving’s Weathered Cobbles in Ebony to create a colour contrast and highlight the circular patio area. This result is a perfect space for al fresco dining.

A new planting bed was created to the rear of the garden from Marshalls Cromwell Pitched Face walling stone with walling copings from Harvest Sandstone to tie in with the patio.

Although this project ultimately covered only a small area, the garden space was totally transformed and the dynamic methods used meant that the client didn’t have any internal disruption.
